Welcome to MosqAI. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle your information when you use our AI-powered mosquito identification application.

2. Data We Collect

MosqAI collects minimal data:

No account registration required
No name, email address, or phone number collected
Photos you take or upload are sent to Google Gemini AI for analysis and are not stored on our servers
If you choose to share a detection on the community map, your approximate location (city-level, derived from IP address) is stored anonymously

3. How the AI Works

When you submit a mosquito photo for analysis, the image is sent to Google's Gemini AI service for species identification. Google processes the image according to their privacy policy. We do not store your photos on any server after analysis is complete.

4. Community Map

MosqAI offers an optional community map feature where users can share mosquito detection locations to help public health efforts. If you choose to share:

Your approximate location (city-level) is derived from your IP address
The mosquito species detected is recorded
No personally identifiable information is attached to map data
Participation is entirely voluntary

5. Advertising

MosqAI displays banner and interstitial advertisements via Google AdMob to keep the app free. Google AdMob may collect certain device information (such as advertising identifiers) in accordance with their own privacy policy, solely for the purpose of serving relevant ads. Ad data is handled entirely by Google and is completely separate from any app content or photos. We do not share any app data with advertisers.

Supabase — for anonymous community map data storage

7. Children's Privacy

MosqAI is suitable for all ages (4+). We collect no personal data from children or any other users.

8. Data Security

All communication between the app and our services uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Community map data is stored securely on Supabase with row-level security policies.

9. Your Rights (GDPR / LGPD)

Since we collect minimal anonymous data, there is very little to access, correct, or delete. Community map contributions are anonymous and cannot be linked to individual users.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
